You may also want to tick 'Enable access to restricted folders' so that you can bypass permission restrictions.
    Thanks,

When i am making the rescue disk would this be the right way, the one i have highlighted is my USB drive where i have made the backup to.

    The USB looks like this:

IMO, that should be enough to boot the USB and then restore from my USB L: drive to restore C: drive ?

NO! I hope you didn't already do it.

You lose the backups if you select that disk. Macrium formats the media you choose as rescue media.

Use a small USB Flash Disk (USB stick) for rescue media.

In screenshot you have chosen a 1 TB USH hard disk, which you say contains your backup images.

My reply was to tell you not to choose that disk.

Okay, what would you do then ?

just make the rescue to a USB drive? i just though i would make the image file to a USB disk and then rescue drive on a flash drive with 8GB storage ?

I think I see the semantics of confusion. Rescue does not mean the images to save to get you back up and running. Rescue means the DEVICE you use that has the bootable Macrium on it. Rescue Thumb drive 8GB for booting. Seagate or WD 1TB to save your images.

Macrium PE only uses about 1 GB, so quite a small USB stick is enough.

As F14Tomcat told, rescue media is the USB boot media you use to boot to Macrium when needed, to restore an image from from your USB HDD.

Not a good idea to put valuable image files on a thumb drive.....they are slow, they are fragile, and they are limited in size.
