    Thanks geeks :)

My first experience with v.7, going through new stuff to see how the tutorial needs to be updated.

I don't think there is a lot new in V7 for the general home user.

I too usually don't win anything so I was surprised to be the third winner - I'm doctor9fan on Twitter.

I was rather disappointed with V7 as it did not really add much apart from some rather esoteric changes to way it images some stuff. You would barely detect difference between it and V6 both in functionality or gui design.

Even the publicised integration with Viboot basically only amounted to a link in Reflect to run Viboot. It is still installed as a separate program

Having said that, V7 does seem to be faster than V6.

I'm still trying to find out what the highlighted part in screenshot below means:

Just made an image on live system, it took full hour (about 200 GB) as always with v.6.

I had a problem with v6 for a while, Suddenly any old .mrimg files wouldn't work, wouldn't verify although the were just fine when made and of course verified New backups were all ending with with errors. After some troubleshooting I found that there was a problem with HDD (WD 750GB Green) which suddenly slowed down to less than 1/3 of standard writing and 1/2 of standard reading speed. I checked the drive and SMART was still 100%. I run checkdisk and every other test I could find but except for slowness there was nothing exceptionally wrong with it. No bad or suspect blocks, nothing wrong with it. Also did a full erase with 2 passes and initialized it again but that didn't help much.
I made backup to an SSD and it finished it's about 70GB in 3 minutes while on another HDD it took about 7 minutes and .mrimg files verified without problems.
So, I figured that MR just have run out of "patience" while verifying and writing to it. Later on I changed the SATA port that HDD was on and it started working at almost it's standard speed. MR now makes and verifies backups without problems albeit still slower than on other disks.

Pretty sure that is referring to Rapid Delta Clone.

If you have cloned drive B from drive A, and later make modest changes to drive A, you can reclone drive A to Drive B amazingly quickly, as it only reclones items that have changed (a bit like an incremental backup).
