Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

I learned the value of backups the hard way. I spent several days rebuilding an IBM mainframe system in the 1980s after a failed disk drive. Although backups of data were done there were no system backups.

I have most of my data on separate drives and back that up daily too using FreeFileSync, most of it to two separate destinations.

Windows I can reinstall in 15 minutes, it's programs and tuning that may take couple of days. My data is more valuable though, All installed programs as downloaded, drivers and SW together with their eventual activation are in separate folder on separate drive also backed up at same time with data.
As I said before, system backup is just a time saver for me.

The thing is that with scheduled backups once they are set up there is nothing for you to do so they are a win, win.

I have my data on the Windows drive, but I have made a Robocopy script that runs twice a day, backing up (mirroring) all my data to an external disk. Extremely reliable and fast. It takes ~30-45 sec for each run, depending of course on the number of changed/added files.

But I still have to insert disk I back them up to. That I have to do manually, I'm thinking about getting or making a file server but that can be costly although probably best solution.

Strange, I just had a update for the Boot Menu, but not Macrium

Re doing my usb stick too.

1. I can't find a Boot Menu Option. This is what I see under "Other Tasks"



2. Assuming I find it, I've surmised that there's a splash screen every time you reboot. How do you set the timer?

3. I also have a WinXP machine (as a 2nd machine). Because I have one keyboard, monitor, & mouse for both my machines & a KVM switch to change between machines, my WinXP machine doesn't have a keyboard when rebooting (only a mouse). My rescue disk for that machine has the option of "no keypress needed". Am I correct in assuming that I can't use the Boot Menu Option for my XP machine then?

Other Tasks -> Add Recovery Boot Menu Option in Reflect's top menu and then No Menu

I'm not sure if that option is still there as I no longer use Macrium.

Thank you. Do you mean on all of the newer versions? It has to be somewhere.
