Winpe res outcomes won't necessarily be the same as you get in windows.

Precisely. Which is why you can check by creating a fresh macrium wim ( after deleting the huge one) and if that still isn't allowing any screen res adjustment - then by checking to see of another winpe works better - such as the one I made.

If you find the screen res is adjustable to your liking in my winpe - macrium can be easily added to it. It doesn't even need to be added to the wim, the macrium files can be placed in a folder and run from the usb stick.

If you find my winpe to your liking, create a folder on the usb stick in Uprograms called macrium and put the files in there ( except the launcher.exe )
Then export the license from your registry and put the reg file into the folder called Uprograms\regfiles
It will run fine from there.
If you want a shortcut on the winpe desktop as well, you can just add a line to the Uprogs.ini file which is also on the root of the usb stick ( use notepad - it is just a text file)
    usb stick looks like this:

Just tried yours.....there is no MR on it....AND ....my resolution was at 2560 x 1440 ....and yours took a very long time to load.
So....did not change my res issue at all....had no choices to change it either.

I know there is no MR on it - any programs can be easily added.

The screen res is the issue. Looks like there is indeed something about your machine that is causing the problem.

What is the mobo - is it the one listed in your specs?

Going to give up for now....I've got to finish my new build today. Making another custom built PC , to replace my 2nd spare build.
New case, newer motherboard, and newer cpu ....got all the case wiring done....just need to take out all the parts from my older spare build and move them into this build...

Of course standard winpe loads faster - custom versions like mine have explorer, disk management, over 200 mb of drivers, wireless networking, etc.

If you don't tell us what you are using, we are never going to find out what the hardware is that seems to be causing the issue
