    Hello guys!
I'm trying to create rescue media but when it gets to "extracting archives/files" it gets stuck, I already restarted the process and nothing. It's been more than 4 hours stuck.
    Any help?
    Thank you in advance.

Easy way to create usb drive manually.

    1) create rescue iso

    2) mount it as a drive

    3) format a usb flash drive as fat32

    4) copy mounted drive files to a fat32 usb partition.

Thank you for your answer buddy!

I tried that right now but when I'm creating rescue iso it gets stuck again in "Extracting archives" step (after Wi-Fi step).

EDIT: tried a windows clean boot but it gets stuck again in the same step, I don't know what else I can do to create that rescue media.

Not my best suggestion but I would uninstall Macrium. Then re-install.

If problem persists then Macrium has an excellent forum.

I assume you are using V8. Which ever version you are using submit your question to the right forum, they have a V7 and a V8

Yes, but you have to edit the registry to do so....

I'm afraid not with an image backup. The image is of a complete partition or set of partitions, I don't know what sort of setup you have, but would it be possible to move the files onto another drive/partition? You could always put shortcuts to them on the desktop for convenient access.

Yes, but it's not straight forward, you have to edit the registry. I have used it to exclude the .vhdx file on one of my machines that dual boots using vhdx native boot.

That's the sort of thing it would be ideal for. All my VMs are on a separate external SSD so I don't have that problem.
I've just moved my browser caches, which can get quite large, out of the image by using symbolic links.
