I'm going to test the USB next but I was curious about building it into the Windows Boot Menu so you automatically get the choice during POST.

Hi Keith, I was going to add the Macrium bootable menu to my new MB/W10 install, is the extra boot time the only downside? It's got all that TPM secure stuff.
I've always used the boot menu Richard. As you say the only downside is the extra boot time. By default there is a pause of 10 seconds to allow you time to select the MR entry. If you are sitting there you can just hit enter and it will immediately boot to the default which is Windows.

    Thank you!

I think you can change the timeout in msconfig.

    Update to MR v8

Your tutorial "Backup & Restore with Macrium Reflect" looks excellent.
I am keen to learn about MR and have recently installed the paid-for edition of version 8.

When can we expect an update of this tutorial to V8?

If you have already done this, please provide a link.

I think @Kari has said that he will wait until the free V8 is available so as not to cause too much confusion. This is due 90 days after the release of the paid version so should be soon now.

Macrium also has some pretty nice resources in addition to this forum.

Is there any adverse effects in renaming mrimg files within the same folder? Just want to know which are windows backups and which are disk images.

Might be better to keep the existing names and split them into two folders.
