Keith, I may be wrong, but technically the 12 months of support expires but the license for any version is perpetual, no expiration when a new version comes out. There is some point down the road where really old ones are not maintained any longer by Macrium, but they still work. I have problems now getting words correct, but I think this is right.
Yes, that is spot on. @Pipppero2007 will be pleased to know that the licence is perpetual, it's only the support that expires. For Business users support can be renewed annually, support for Home is non-renewable.
Macrium Software | Buyers GuideIt is a perpetual license with the first year of Home Essentials (for Home users) or Support and Maintenance Subscription (for Business users) included.
Agree with TC. Formal support is a year but from my experience support is ongoing.
The forum is an excellent "how to" and on numerous occasions their staff members have been monitoring and they ask you to raise tickets. Don't think I've had a problem that has gone unanswered. They really want their product to work.
Excellent experience.
Completely agree. Not to belabor the point, but I bought 2 home versions in 2017 (one for my Win10 machine & one for my WinXP machine). They have fantastic support, even after the advertised 1 year of support. Their forum, located here, has dedicated users (just like our TenForums has) who give advice. On rare occasions, their actual support personnel have intervened, long after my "support" had expired. 3 years after I purchased Reflect & updated it on WinXP, it caused a problem. I contacted their support & they fixed it within 1 day.
I highly recommend their paid version because you can create incremental images. This takes less time & less space than creating differential images. Strange that we've become so used to free utilities that we balk when developers want to be paid for their work. I use Reflect daily for the price of an evening out (well, an evening out at least before the pandemic)![]()
Sorry If I repeat myself, just to be very clear: I buy the licence (1 or 4) and I will receive always the upgrade (8,9,10, etc.).
I say right?
