Yes, that would be ideal. But as I previously mentioned, I initially intended to use the 2TB SSD to replace my 2TB HDD and I got the NVMe version cheaper than typical 2TB SATA SSDs. It was an after thought to put my OS on the NVMe SSD with a D partition.
Will see how it works out. I think it will work out about the same as having 2 separate SSDs as far as backup and restores go. I plan to do detailed testing to verify that it will all work as expected.

Beside NVME SSD on the MB I have 4 (semi)permanent disks, 1x SSD 120GB (For windows insider), 1x 240GB SSD for games, 1x1TB HDD and a 2TB HDD which are all in removable trays with BIOS set to live removal. There's an usually empty tray for 3.5" disks to insert HDDs for backup without having to turn system off.
From those disks NVME (with normal windows) and Game SSD I use MR to backup together. Any data worth backing up (maybe about 1/3 of all files on HDDs) are in own, easily recognizable folders which I periodically just copy to folders with same name on backup HDDs. Also periodically when warranted I copy last .MRIMG to own HDD. Most important personal files are backed up to another HDD just in case.
Thanks to half decent PC MR backup or manual backup doesn't interfere with work so it can be done any time.
I think I covered most eventualities like that although I'm still toying with idea of making a file server for backups.
Not sure where to post this. Yesterday, I made a full backup using Acronis True Image & then a full restore. I have Reflect set to do a full backup, followed by 7 incrementals on an external drive (D). Then I do the same for drive E & switch every week
This morning, I got this message:
So I wanted to create a new backup job, just like I had. I plugged in both external drives. My second external drive was always named Passport2 (E). However, when I plugged it in, it said Local disk & I don't recall whether it was drive E or F. I changed the name to Passport2 (E).
However, when I go to disk management, it lists it as Drive F & won't give me the option to make it Drive E, even after rebooting, even though the name is Passport2 (E).
If I right click on the drive in File Explorer & choose Properties, it shows this:, some 500MB used & 891MB free. However, if I open the drive, it says 891MB free, but shows almost none of the contents:
I'm not sure how, but I really screwed things up. I want to create a new backup set on Reflect, but first want to change the drive letter & fix this problem. How can I do this?
Added: I forgot to add. When I went to disk management & tried to change the drive letter & it wouldn't let me, I clicked on remove drive.
Since I do have a Reflect incremental from yesterday morning, can I use it to do a complete restore & get everything back the way it was (& only lose a day's work)?

I would not be adding the drive letter to the drive label which I think you want as Passport 2.

How comfortable are you with diskpart?
I guess I also should have asked, is this passport drive only used for Macrium or are you storing other data on drive.

Not very familiar with diskpart. I've never done it & don't know what it does.
And although it says (E), it's because I named it that. But under Disk Management, it says F...and won't let me assign E.
It's mainly backups, but also has some other files (but even they are mostly backups).
If I try to use Reflect to restore from January 25 (done at 3:00AM), would that fix everything I've broken.
I can't say if that would fix it and Macrium won't alter E:
In my opinion the drive itself does not look right. That is the data, if it is data, think it is just meta data, is under the folder System Volume Information.
Maybe use Treesize to look at that disk. Will show where / what data is on disk.
Could you post a screen shot with drive connected please.
Diskpart is a very powerful command line tool to manage disks. You can wipe, format, assigned, delete/create partitions etc

Yes SVI is just meta data.
It is like the data is hidden or deleted. You must have show hidden files turned on as you can see recycle bin and SVI
