I would need a 32bit registry tweak though.

Have you read through the guide itself or just looked at...? In Option Two the options to restore all or individual folders are available for download. If you find that you want to restore one or more simply look over the list there. The downloads here work on both the 32bit as well as 64bit Windows 10.

Here I wanted everything brought down to the Plain and Simple level of having select folders pinned in the Quick Access after unpinning a few of the defaults seen there as well as cleaning up the awkwardness of folders cluttering up the view.

Yes I did read the guide and run the All-in-One command, but what I did not want was the folders missing in my personal user profile folder too.

Mike's view had only the folders removed from This PC view, but still visible in his user profile folder.

In the folder options and where to look you open up the view tab and scroll down to the bottom where you will find two check boxes one being for "All libraries" and the other for "All folders". When checking that one off and clicking on the apply button the navigation should automatically see the Control Panel with all it's items as well as the folders and right above the This PC item your user account main folder seen in the image here closed up appears.

Note that the "All libraries" box was also checked off when grabbing this screen.

That view is simply too cluttered.
This is the view of my user profile folder (%userprofile%).

What I want is the above, whereby those in the box are gone and those ticked are still there.

Instead, the all-in-one registry tweak removed everything in the pink box (which is correct) AND the folders marked by the pink tick (which is not what I want).

I need my user profile folder to show those folders especially for the Open/Save dialog:

I know Libraries are a possible workaround, but I would rather undo the registry tweak than use Libraries.

If you look back at Post #149 you'll see two entirely different views without clutter or a navigation pane too extensive in length?! That's what happens when you add the Control Panal and Libraries folders in there to jam things up! The user account can either be in plain sight as seen in the first or pinned inside the Quick Access for being "Hidden in Plain Sight"!

It depends mainly on what you are looking for as to how to go about picking choosing which folders should be hidden or in plain view. Here I simply wanted to see things better organized and confined to allow for more viewing area rather then simply seeing a screen full of folders when trying to get to this or that drive!

So I guess I will not be using the registry tweak then.. I like a clean look, but I prefer uniform access to my folders more.. Thanks anyway.

Well you can use the individual folder remover rather then the all folders option to pick and choose. That will leave the rest intact.

I ran the "remove all" .reg file (yes, it was the 60-bit version), and while it removed them from the This PC folder, it also removed them from the User folder. SO I ran the Restore All .reg file (again, the 64-bit version), and it restored them all, except for Desktop in the user folder.

Now, the folder is still present in C:/Users/USERNAME/, but it doesn't show up when I open the User folder on the desktop itself.

From the user folder on the desktop:

    Actual folder:

Any idea how to fix this?

Hello FortMax, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

There's nothing wrong. The user profile group in the navigation pane doesn't have "Desktop" by default since it's under Desktop when you have "Show all folders" checked.
