Thanks for spending time to investigate this @Brink, it is very much appreciated,

If wanted, you could hide the folders like below to not see them.

Set or Unset Hidden Attribute of Files and Folders in Windows 10

I could NOT Hide the 7 folders out of the 15 that I wanted to using the CMD Prompt method so I hid them using the Properties. I think that it could cause more problems than needed trying to find a workaround and it is not worth the aggravation.

Great news. I'm glad you got them hidden.

Insufficient time on my hands to go through 46 pages of this thread, but I'm sure it's all great. I finally got around to using your reg files to get the folders I never use out of my sight in the navigation pane. Purrrfect! Just exactly what I want to see when I open File Explorer.Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10-folders-gone.jpg

    Hello James,

If you like, you can see how pinning the folders to Quick access may work for you to have them show under Quick access in the navigation pane instead.

hello :) and i have done this and it works great! also is there any way to reset the files/folders that get put in the quick access? like i have nonpinned items that are in quick access that i do not want. because right clicking each one and selecting "remove from quick access" seems to take forever. i sat here for 10 mins doing that and it never stopped adding another file/folder to quick access (non pinned). i have the rest of the document, downloads, music and videos pinned, but there are non pinned items there that i dont want. please advise and thank you for your help :)

EDIT: Nevermind, i have managed to figure it out again thank you for the help. such a wonderful forum and so many people to help. have a good day!
