    Hello @Brink,

    I have just installed Win 10 Pro v1909 on an OLD laptop [ 10+ years old ] and the remove ALL from Users does not work. Is it me or do the reg files NOT apply now to older versions please?

    On This PC, it says this folder is empty, but if I click This PC in the left -hand pane, it shows the Devices and Drives, which is what I want.

    Thanks.

    Hello Paul,

    If the "Folders" section is empty in "This PC", then it sounds like it worked. Go ahead and post a screenshot showing what you mean to see if anything may stand out.

    Did you use option 1 or 2?

    Before clicking This PC in the left-hand pane . . .
    Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10-abc1.png

    After . . .
    Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10-abc2.png

    I would prefer that when I open it, it shows the second of the images above.

    The remove C:\Users\<my_name>\ Folders 3D Objects, Contacts . . . Searches, Videos did not work at all. I can't remember which Tutorial I used for that, but it did not work for me at least.

    Thanks.

    Your top screenshot shows having "Quick access" open in the address bar instead of "This PC".

    I just tested on my system, and "This PC" looks like your bottom screenshot for me. I do have File Explorer set to open to "This PC" by default instead of "Quick access", but it didn't matter which one for me though.

    Did you mean the tutorial below for the C:\Users\<my_name>\ Folders?

    Hide or Show User Profile Personal Folders in Windows 10 File Explorer

    Not to worry, I will find out what the problem is. I just want it to open as per image 2.

    EDIT: I found it => Open to This PC or Quick access in File Explorer in Windows 10

    One down, one to go!

    Yes, I ran each of the REG files and then restarted. This is what it looks like . . .

    Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10-abc3.png

    I do have the option to highlight them ALL and the Delete them, but I don't want to do this in case I want to restore any of them at some stage!

    Thanks.

    Great news so far.

    I'll have to do some more testing for this below.

    After some testing, the folders will not hide from the actual "C:\Users\<username>" location like in your screenshot.

    Instead, they will only hide from the <username> in the navigation pane when Show all folders is turned on like below, and in This PC.

    I do have the option to highlight them ALL and then Delete them [ EASY OPTION ], but I don't want to do this in case I want to restore any of them at some stage!

    There must be a REG entry for them somewhere. I will look into this further tomorrow.

    Do you have a full list of the REG keys somewhere, like for example . . .

    Code:

    {A0953C92-50DC-43bf-BE83-3742FED03C9C}
    {A8CDFF1C-4878-43be-B5FD-F8091C1C60D0}
    {B4BFCC3A-DB2C-424C-B029-7FE99A87C641}
    {d3162b92-9365-467a-956b-92703aca08af}
    {f86fa3ab-70d2-4fc7-9c99-fcbf05467f3a}

    Might be able to do something with a REG file or Batch Script.

    Thanks.

    If wanted, you could hide the folders like below to not see them.
