New folder "3D Objects" in latest preview build that needs to be added to the registry tweak.
Oh, for crying out loud. Why, Microsoft, why?!

I'm still using the old reg files to remove the offending folders from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace key and the Wow6432Node version. I don't mind that this breaks the start list. As it accomplishes what I want, no crap under This PC. But all folders still present under the User Folder.

That has worked fine for some time now, until this new folder showed up. What GUID would I need to remove from NameSpace to remove the 3D Objects folder? I have only one left, {0DB7E03F-FC29-4DC6-9020-FF41B59E513A}, I wonder if that corresponds to the 3D Objects folder?

Perhaps 3D Objects can not be removed at all via the old style tricks?

    Hello Mike, :)

The tutorial on the first page includes updated downloads for the "3D Objects" folder.

It works, but you have to restart the explorer process (or sign out/in) to apply.

Yeah, Brink, but that removes it from the User folder as well, which is what I want to avoid. Not that I'll be using the 3D Objects folder...

Yeah, it'll remove it from the Users group in the navigation pane, but will still be in the actual "C:\Users\<username>" folder.

I'll update the tutorial today to include both methods for what you want to do, but for now you could pin the folder to Quick Access if you like.

    Mike @Ten Forward,

Ok. The tutorial has been updated now. "Option One" is the method for what you wanted to do. :)

I'm confused, the first page says how to Add a folder to "This PC", but I don't see any guide on that. Is there a way to add a folder to that list that is not one of the standard ones Microsoft has designated?
