Windows 10: Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10
ok i have updated this one using this method from your guide. In the file because i don't know the description i have named them "update1.. etc"
Those are the GUID numbers for the folders on the Start list, and are not needed to be added for This PC. Those GUIDs are also not in the FolderDescriptions key by default.
The tutorial currently still works just fine though.
Well for me it did not worked after the new update unless i add those additional strings.
I tested the tutorial on a clean install of the latest build, and it worked on it for me.
Did you restart the computer afterwards to see if that fully applied it?
No i did not restart the PC, normally only explorer need to be restarted and it worked. Perhaps the problem was that i was using the "old" method with deleting them from previously download files with the same name.
Could be. If you had made other changes to these, it could prevent the tutorial from working as it.
Yours is working after i reverted my changes and make sure to use your latest files Thanks
I have just attempted to follow the instructions in the OP, but it doesn't work for me. I see a day ago you posted an updated .reg file, but then removed it. Help?
Hello Jake, and welcome to Ten Forums.
I assume that you are trying to remove all folders from This PC?
If so, did you previously try anything else to remove them that may be preventing the tutorial to work like in navuho's situation?
