    @rdwray,

    If you like, export the keys below that the context menu entry should be in. I'll be happy to take a look to see if I may be able to spot it, and post back a .reg file to remove them.

    • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
    • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell
    • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell

    Found it. It was the cmd keys below.

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\cmd
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\cmd\command

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\cmd
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\cmd\command

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell\cmd
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell\cmd\command

    EDIT: I just checked, and these keys are owned by TrustedInstaller. This means you will have to change the owner of each of these keys to Administrators, and set permissions of each of these keys to "Allow" the Administrators group "Full control" to be able to delete them.

    Has the new build overwritten previous added shortcuts .?? to desktop context menu

    When upgading to new build do i need to reinsert the shortcut shown at Brinks first post .
