Is there a way to create a shortcut to enable/disable this option? I hate going throught all the menus.
Edit: well, I found a solution faster than I thought: How To Toggle Windows Defender Real-Time Protection In Windows 10
Works perfectly.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work anymore. I added the registry entry but it disappeared after reboot. Windows Antimalware Service Executable randomly started again and used 100% of my CPU for 15 minutes. If it happens when I'm playing a game, I have to stop and wait because my fps drops below 20...
EDIT: I disabled Windows Defender tasks in the task scheduler. Maybe that'll work.
To permanently disable defender service, use these two steps:
1. at admin prompt, roll back antimalware platform, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...lware-platform
2. reboot into safe mode & apply regfileCode:"%programfiles%\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe" -resetplatform
It works for versions up toCode:Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WinDefend] "Start"=dword:0000000419092004; after feature update, repeating both steps is required.

Tutorial has been updated to make it fully work again.
It looks like the issue was not turning off Tamper Protection first when you have Windows 10 build 18305 or higher.
