Thank you Shawn. Thinking about it before seeing your response, I thought it might have been the inability to create a generation 2 VM. Upon creation, gen1 was my only choice. You've completely cleared up why 'Enhanced session' was grayed out.

I've reinstalled Win10 twice after seemingly being forced to upgrade to Win11. Perhaps I'll start on a new Win10 VM, upgrade it to a Win11 VM, get it shaped up to where I like its functionality, then deploy it over my existing Win10 OS. In the meantime, I'm slowly learning some linux on my Manjaro VM!

In addition, it must be a Windows 8.1/10/11 Pro guest. Home does not support an enhanced session.
Having a legal copy of Windows 7 Enterprise, I was a bit disappointed that Hyper-V only supports Windows 7 Enterprise edition as a Generation 1 guest. No enhanced session, no UEFI image support.
