In the shortcut properties (see 15-16, final steps of this tutorial) you should also set "Run: Minimized" instead of "Normal window". This has no bearing on the actual program to be opened, but it will give you one less annoying flashing cmd prompt.

You will still have at least one flashing prompt left, but this will improve things for your eyes.

    Code:
    %SystemRoot%\System32\runas.exe /user:%UserDomain%\Administrator /savecred "%SystemDrive%\Apps\myApps\SysInternals\procexp64.exe"

    Code:
    %SystemRoot%\System32\runas.exe /user:%UserDomain%\Administrator /savecred %windir%\system32\notepad.exe

This is how I have created many Shorcuts
It only ask for password once.

    Hi Brink
I been trying for days to get a app to start with Task Schedule and it just will not start.
I have tried all you settings and even a direct path which works from within schedule itself.
But on boot-up it will not start.
In the App it says start with Windows

Phrase Express Force Start%windir%\System32\cmd.exe/c start “Phrase Express Force Start” “C:\Program Files (x86)\PhraseExpress\phraseexpress.exe“

    Settings here Microsoft services

    Hello @thorrrr,

Just to verify, did you create a shortcut to run the elevated task, and put that shortcut in your Startup folder?

Odd. You might delete the task and shortcuts and start over fresh to see if it may be some odd setting off.

That would indicate some issue with the command or shortcut.

If you like, go ahead and export the task using the method in the tutorial below, and upload it here in a ZIP file. I'll import it on my system to double check to see if anything may stand out.

Export Task from Task Scheduler in Windows

In addition, post some screenshots showing the target location you used for the shortcut to see if anything may stand out.
