Yes, very odd. I think i’ll just leave it as it is since I am not part of the insider program and the service is not running anyway. Hopefully that doesnt cause any issues.
It shouldn't since you don't have an Insider build installed.

Hi again, Shawn! To my surprise the service was present all the time but description and service name where suddenly opposite of each other, maybe something wrong in the reg file? I digged a little bit deeper to find out where the display name and description where in the registry and compared to the reg file. They were opposite of eachother, so I changed them manually in the registry and rebooted. Now it says windows insider service again. I will show below what I changed and maybe you can check it yourself.

Hello I have issue with sppsvc and I get error 1058 every time when I try to start this service by cmd or anything else, also in services.msc sppsvc is disabled and options are grayed out, does using specific recovery .reg file that you put here will work with windows 10 21H1?Restore Default Services in Windows 10-przechwytywanie.png

    Hello,

You can try using the REG in the tutorial to fix the sppsvc service.

If it doesn't help, then you could try doing a repair install below without losing anything.

Sadly the issue is not solved, but I read somewhere that fix for it can be changing value in sppsvc from NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService to Localsystem but I don't know how

Was this even after a repair install?

I did what you said but on the Remote Procedures Call (RPC). I get cannot merge because of certain things that aren't in the file or permissions etc. Any suggestions

    Hello Robert, and welcome.

This error is normal if this service's registry key permissions have not been previously tampered with.

If not, then the service should still be ok.

Is its registry entries still intact?

The computer is acting different.I have to reregister musical instruments plugins. It didn't do that before .and the Remote Procedures Call RPC is locked and grayed out and stuck in recovery as an automatic start. I think I changed something in their properties pane. I cannot set the start to manual. That's what the problem seems to be.
