Right there man... me being Tommy Boy... "I'm an IDIOT". Man, I'm sorry. Brain fart. This licensing thing... anyway... sorry. Thanks Bree,
I can confirm that old unused Windows 7 product keys do in fact work as Windows 10 activation keys. I recently upgraded 2 PC's, one of which was a brand new install of Win 10 (Home), and the other a motherboard replacement for an existing PC running Win 10 (Pro). Back in the day you used to be required to install Win 7, activate it, THEN do a Win 10 upgrade from within the Win 7 GUI-- thankfully that is no longer the case-- I had heard rumors that Microsoft relented and changed the system to allow older Win 7 keys as Win 10 activation keys directly-- I just ran them yesterday from a set of Win 7 keys that were never activated. Both were activated to their respective editions of Windows 10 perfectly.
Hi Shawn, Is there any reason why running SLUI 4 might not result in anything happening- no dialogue box..?
