Yes , use WinKey+R and type winver then enter and you should see 1607 if it is AU..... if 1511 you are one major version behind.

Go ahead and post a screenshot showing this to see if anything stands out.

Thanks, do I,use your tutorial to remove the password at login, because it seems to apply to,all user accounts, but will give it a go.

The problem with this is pc will always automatically login to admin account, and never allow you to select the standard account. Basically to switch accounts, all accounts need a password. This is not new to Windows 10 - always been like that.

It would be best to create a new thread for the sign in topic for better support since it's unrelated to this tutorial. :)

    Hi all
I have just re installed Windows 10 on a different iMac as my old one died and I activated it with the Windows 8 retail product key I used to update to 10 in first place.

I am preparing to replace motherboard and processor due to a couple of incidents recently. The current parts are 4 yrs. old. Win10 is up to date -updated from original Windows 7 Pro.
I have a MSaccount on my laptop but I did not enter a MSAccount into the desktop at original Windows 10 install.
I don't use any of the facilities available via an MSA while on the desktop. (no camera, no microphone, use Dropbox )
I interpreted that one MSAccount would do but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I see that it is required to have a MSAccount if a major part is to be replaced. The motherboard/processor brand and model will change.

I don't understand what I am to enter into the Desktop when initiating a MSaccount.
Currently I do not log on into the desktop.
I understand that my sole user account will change to be a log in MsAccount.
Then I will be logging into the desktop thereafter( or- use the log in tutorial to revise that)
I will use the same email address.
Do I use the same password as is used on the laptop? (The laptop has a pin)
