one last time about bios vs uefi, just trying to understand as completely as i can.

    windows intallation:

if uefi is selected windows will be a uefi installation?

if bios is selected windows will be a bios installation?

or neither matters for windows installation?

    thank you for any help.

Windows will install in the mode the firmware is set to. If the firmware is set to UEFI, Windows will install in UEFI mode, which means a GPT partitioned drive booting from and EFI system partition.

If the firmware is legacy BIOS or UEFI set to either legacy BIOS or CSM compatibility mode, then Windows will install in legacy BIOS modes which means an MBR partitioned drive booting from a system partition marked as active.
