I have an HP Stream 7 upgraded from 8.1 to 10 Home and while I can change the lockscreen, it keeps changing it back. It's almost like it's doing the service regardless of the fact that I set it to Picture. I even deleted all lockscreens in C:\Windows\Web\Screen except Cathedral Cove (img100.jpg), but it still changes it all the time.

    Hello PRMan, :)

If you sign in with a Microsoft account, you might check to see if it could be getting synced back.

    Hello 970Gaming,

Does it automatically revert back to your image, or do you have to manually change it back?

Does this happen after any Windows Updates?

Do you think that it could be getting synced causing it to change?

Thanks for the quick reply. It happens seemingly randomly, havent had a windows update in awhile, I have it set so I check for them, and download them myself because I want to be able to govern it. It doesnt change back to my picture I have to manually change it back when it does revert to the biplane lock screen. That syncing point you mentioned sounds promising though. Why would it sync my lock screen with the server when I set the lockscreen background myself? Is there some setting I missed? Because I scoured the personalisation tab for an answer. Thanks.

Hello Slyphnier, :) Do you have secure sign-in enabled by chance? If you have enabled secure sign-in where users are required to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to unlock, then that would cause the slide show to not play on the lock screen for all users.
    hi,
i use default login (disabled secure sign-in) ...
but my slideshow image folder is placed in useraccount picture is that what causing slideshow not working ?

i havent try to place pictures on public-account folder or other folder

edit: I tried placing the slideshow image folder on another hdd still same, slideshow not working after boot
and only work after I login -> lock screen only

    anyway to fix this ?

It would be worth temporarily turning off your sync settings to see if continues to happen or not.

If not, then it's most likely the "Theme" sync setting.

The lock screen slide show is user specific, so it won't work unless the user is signed in and locked (Win+L) the PC.

At startup, there is no user signed in, so there wouldn't be a lock screen slide show available to play yet.

I'm not aware of a way to do so yet.
