For some unknown reason i am unable to select "Browse" to choose one of my one photos. Anyone else had this issue? Also adding the photo to the Windows/Web/Screen, doesn't allow me to select the image from the settings menu. I Had to use the Photo>Set As option.

Now unless I am getting very wrong the lock screen if it is what I think it is - > Power up > the OS loads > then waits for the user to click on that screen > and the login appears (same screen no date etc) waiting for my password to be typed in??

As I am not real sure of what the others are doing but I changed my lock screen to a deep space pic I downloaded into a new folder in Pictures and use that and I can leave my lock screen running for sometimes an hour or more without it changing until I login. It still has the local date and time etc etc and has been that way since I started using 10.

As all three machines using 10 are now on the same version (1703 build 15063.138) it is no different than when they were on different versions and builds.

If it makes any difference two machines are upgrades and one I did use an OEM for (once) and now has a dual boot from an ISO have always been the same as described.

I may even be misunderstanding the last few posts but that is what I have got.

Is it possible to add the "Set as lock screen" option for pictures with a registry entry without using a 3rd party program like Logon Screen?

    Hello Polo6RGTI, :)

I'll take a look to see what I may be able to come up with, but for now, you could use Option 2 to do so from within the Photos app.

What's the difference between Windows Spotlight and Slideshow? Don't they both do the same thing?

    Hello Makio, :)

The slideshow option lets you show pictures in local folders you added as your lock screen background.

Windows spotlight is a feature that provides a service driven personalized stream of information on your lock screen for you.

For example, Windows spotlight will display different backgrounds from Bing that you can select that you like or don't like to help train the service to show you images you like. You could also see and try previews of other Windows features and experiences to help let you know about them.

Hey Shawn I can't seem to find a tutorial for changing the user account image on the lock screen did I miss it? Here's one elsewhere - How to Change or Remove User Account Picture in Windows 10 / 8. Had a member asking about it.

    Thanks.
