Tutorial has been updated to add Option Three and Option Four to set this with a group policy. :)
Thank you !! Just used your option 3 to disable this "feature" (really annoying if I may add seeing that strange warning almost everytime when we try and shutdown the machine). Fingers crossed this will solve the problem permanently.

...Why does MS keep adding these features that have strange side effects?

    Hi Shawn,
I don't see this option as of now in build 1903 and later in Settings(Most probably after Settings page refresh recently). Do you see the same?

    Hello Sumit,

I see the same in Windows 10 version 1903.

The setting is no longer available in Settings, and the group policy for it has changed below.

What does its absence mean for the "reopen my apps" part, which is the other half of what it does?

BTW, the toggle was never visible on Enterprise, even before 1903, but at least the default behavior was not to reopen apps.

I'm assuming it will no longer automatically reopen apps starting with 1903.

It looks like it will now automatically sign in, but lock the computer right afterwards.

I have this setting back in that new build as well.

Must have just been a bug in the previous build.

    Hi Brink,

What's the consequences of turning “Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting my device after an update or restart” off? Does this mean updates won't install properly, or simply that I will have to sign in manually during a major update?

    Hello @templar,

Correct. You'll just have to manually sign-in instead of automatically getting signed in after a required restart for an update.
