Hi Shaun,
Thanks for this Desktop Background Icon. It works great. I was wondering which background control has timing precedence... the Settings-->Personalization-->Background timer or the timer settings of the Desktop Background applet started by your Desktop Background Icon.
They each have slightly different times for changing backgrounds.
Thanks
Yes, I downloaded your Desktop_Background_shortcut.zip file. I know that your shortcut starts the old Desktop Background applet which gives finer control over the "Change Picture Every:" time. These times include the timings that one is able to set in the new Settings--> Personalization-->Background.
Using your shortcut I have set my Background to 'Change Picture every:' 3 minutes. The Settings--> Personalization-->Background 'Change Picture Every:' setting does not have a 3 minute setting, only 1, 10, 30, 1hr, 6 hrs, and 1Day. It is currently set to 1 minute.
So with using your shortcut I have 3 minutes set and yet in Settings-->Personalization-->Background it shows 1 minute.
So, which setting has precedence?
Thanks.
Yeah, I'm not sure why Microsoft didn't use the same times for each.
It's the same setting, so whichever one you set last is the one that will be used.
