Many thanks for this. It worked for me. Against normal instinct, I just did it without having time to read the .reg file and understand the entries. But all good. Is there a resource recommended to understand the background to how this works?

I have changed the default Google Drive folder in my PC, I tried to edit the registry file but couldn't find the folder location. Is it possible to do that? Thanks again!

Luckily, it doesn't matter if you changed the default Google drive folder location. The tutorial doesn't reference its location, but its GUID instead to make this possible.

Update:
The GD drive appear on navigation pane after restarting. But it display an error like this:

If the location is on a network, make sure you’re connected to the network or Internet, and then try again. If the location still can’t be found, it might have been moved or deleted.
I run the "Create folder" registry before I changed the default Google Drive folder location and it worked fine. After I changed the default Google Drive folder location, the Google Drive folder on navigation pane didn't work anymore.
So I run "Remove Google Drive" registry and the GD folder disappear. However when I run the "Create folder" registry again, the Google Drive folder won't show up in the navigation pane anymore. How do I fix the issue?

Did you merge the correct add Google Drive .reg file from step 2 or 3 to add it back to the navigation pane?
Yes, I use the 64bit version .reg file for all attempts. Ia there extra step that I need to do?
If you have 64-bit Windows 10 installed, then that's normally all you need to do. You might restart the computer to see if that may apply it though.
