I figured it out. Set targetfolderpath to regsz string and use D:\, E:\, F:\, etc. depending on what the letter is, for the value.

    Hi Brink..

Can you help me to remove Google Drive folder from my Windows Explorer pane?
It seems like doesn't work in my computer. I don't know what I missed. I'm not very professional user, so I think maybe you can help me. Many thanks before.

    Hello, and welcome.

The remove option in this tutorial only works if you used step 2 to add it. Otherwise, it may have been added by Google Drive instead.

Export the two keys below as REG files, then upload the REG files here to see if we can spot the entries for this Google Drive.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel

I found the registry entry for your Google Drive in the navigation pane. The REG file below should remove it for you.

    Remove_Google_Drive_from_navigation_pane.reg

(Contents of REG file for reference)
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\{81539FE6-33C7-4CE7-90C7-1C7B8F2F2D41}]
    "System.IsPinnedToNamespaceTree"=dword:00000000

    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{81539FE6-33C7-4CE7-90C7-1C7B8F2F2D41}]

Request: to add more than one Google Drive Icons in Navigation Bar.

    Hello Brink,
I normally add more than one, up to 4 google drives. Please could you let me know as to how the reg. file can be updated by me.
For now, I need to add a second drive icon the target paths are below:
    Drive: "Y:\Google Drive Jashnani.Apps"
    Program: "C:\Program Files\Google\Drive File Stream"

The 1st drive Icon that is working correctly is:
    Drive: "Y:\Google Drive Harkishan"
    Program: "C:\Program Files\Google\Drive File Stream"

If possible please let me know as to how I could modify the reg to add more drive icons in future
Please find the existing registry entries in the attached file
Thank You for any help you can offer.

    • The icon that has been added and is working is:

    Hello @jasu

The post below can help show you more about the basics of the registry entries that need to be modified for a different Google Drive location to help.

Add or Remove Google Drive from Navigation Pane in Windows 10

When you add more than one Google Drive, each one will need a unique GUID created using the method below.

Generate Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) in Windows

To further help, you can use the custom add and remove REG files in the post below as a template since they're for two Google Drives.

Add or Remove Google Drive from Navigation Pane in Windows 10

Once you go through all the above and have some fun testing, please just let me know if you have any questions.
