Thanks for the reply Shawn , I messed around with .bat file from the 1st post and it was able to reset 1 of the G.Drives and it showed in the pane but still did not autostart. The .bat refused to recognize the other two folders as Google Drive folders at all so in the end I re-used your .reg file and simply copied the B&Sync Shortcut from the Start Menu into the Start Menu>Startup Folder and all 3 Drives now load after Boot and sync again.

    * As mentioned on the Dropbox and OneDrive thread the Permissions Deny seems to have stopped them from re-populating the Nav. pane too, they did not have the autostart issue though.

    Great news.

I hate to ask again but.........

    Good morning :)

You've previously supplied me with a bat file (or registry thingy) to add both of the Google drives I use to my navigation pane. C drive needs to be reduced in size and I've moved my Google Drives to D Drive. I've managed to get one drive from the new location showing on the navigation pane (albeit called "Google Drive" rather than "Google Drive-Caroline") but I get an error message ("Directory is not a Google Sync Drive") when attempting to load the second GD.

Are you able to supply a fool-proof way of adding each of the following to the navigation pane for me?

    D:\Users\Caroline\Google Drive-Caroline
    D:\Users\Caroline\Google Drive-NCC

You'll be my hero forever if you can but if you no longer do this I'll understand.

    Hello again Caroline,

I created custom .reg files for you below that will add the two Google Drives to your navigation using your specific paths and names above.

Please let me know if you have any issues, requests, or questions for it.

    Add_Caroline_Google_Drives_to_navigation_pane.reg

Duplicate Google Drive navigation entries, one broken and unwanted

After much fiddling about I've ended up with two entries for google drive in my file explorer navigation pane. Time has passed and I don't know how! One works correctly, the other gives %Path_To_Google_Drive% is unavailable. I would like to remove that broken one. I've read in this thread how to remove a broken Google Drive entry but I need guidance about how to do that without breaking the good entry, please.

    Hello tartist,

Go ahead and export your registry entries for them, and post them here. I'll be happy to take a look at them to help find the bad one to remove it.

In addition, post the path of your Google Drive folder to help know which one is the correct one in the registry.

Thanks for your quick reply. I worked out which registry entries were relevant by examining your files in post #1 and this led me to finding the working and the non-working CLID entries. I've attached the exported CLID reg entries and also posted images of the working and non-working InitPropertyBag for clarity. The correct location is D:\Google Drive
Do I simply delete the non-working CLID or will the gates of hell open and fire rain down upon me?

    2. Non-working

    Many thanks!
Note, my attachments are shown in my post preview but not when I post. Let me know if you can't find them

Correct. You would just need to delete the non-working CLSID to remove it.

    For your specific CLSID:

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\{81539FE6-33C7-4CE7-90C7-1C7B8F2F2D41}]

    [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{81539FE6-33C7-4CE7-90C7-1C7B8F2F2D41}]

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel]
    "{81539FE6-33C7-4CE7-90C7-1C7B8F2F2D41}"=-

That's done the trick! Thanks too for the extra locations to delete.
    Thank you so much.
