    Hi Shawn,

Thanks to you I have my Google Drives, OneDrive and Dropbox in the navigation pane of File Explorer, but I am wondering if there is a way to force them all lower on the list, eg down where Libraries is or Even into a Folder like Libraries ?

Generally when in Explorer it is because I want to "Explore This PC" and it's listing gets lost in amongst all the others , and I'd Prefer it at the Top.

Thanks as always for you tips and tutorials....

    Hello KB,

I'll look into creating a tutorial to move "This PC" to the top of the navigation pane in File Explorer, and will post back when ready.

Well, it appears using the SortOrderIndex DWORD doesn't work to sort This PC in the navigation pane like it does for the other items.

If it helps, you could right click on This PC in the navigation pane, and click on "Pin to Quick Access" to have it at the top under the Quick Access group. You can then drag and drop This PC to the top within the Quick Access group.

Oh well...thanks for trying, my hope was to also not to have use Quick Access and have Explorer more like the "old days" :)

showing my age I guess :) but Quick Access it will have to be, strange in this day and age we don't have more control.....

Agreed. It would be nice to drag and drop them in the order you want in the navigation pane.

That would be Ideal , seems logical, the whole navigation pane should be like Quick Access , with just links to the Real Folders.

Just a thought, KB...... Change the View option to open in This PC instead of Quick Access. Then the most common reason for you being in Explorer is already open there. Still have same Navigation Pane.

Open to This PC or Quick access in File Explorer in Windows 10

Thanks F14 , I am trying that as an option now , but am thinking I'll remove the G-Drive , OneDrive and Dropbox entries and just access them from the Tray by the Clock instead when needed.

decided to try , removing them all but no luck....
it turns out Dropbox and OneDrive Both put themselves back every reboot ,
used Shawn's .reg from those Tutorials to remove them easily but only
Google Drive doesn't force it's way back after a restart....

so it's back to using quick Access or View This PC again....
