    Huge thanks to you Brink

    Not only did you produce exactly what I had asked about but you also did it in super-quick time and with no expectation of reward. You're an absolute gem! Thank you soooooo much. Huge kudos to you.

    Hello Caio,

    I created custom .reg files for you below that will add the two Google Drives to your navigation using your specific paths and names ("Caio" and "HC Master") you wanted.

    Please let me know if you have any issues, requests, or questions for it.

    Attachment 235826

    Attachment 235827

    It's a little tricky, but you can easily modify the registry values for the GUID keys (1 for each drive) like below for the name you want to show in the navigation pane and for the TargetFolderPath. After modifying, you can export the keys and combine them like the .reg files above.

    I'll be happy to help if needed.

    Thank you very much, Brink!! It worked flawlessly!!

    You would have to create shortcuts for those folders then re-name the shortcuts. If you re-name the folders themselves, they will no longer sync.
    My workaround seems to have worked without the need for creating shortcuts. My process was to rename the Google Drive folders on my PC the way I wanted them to be named. I then went to the system tray, right-clicked a Backup & Sync folder, clicked 'settings' (3 dots on top right) then Quit Backup & Sync. Once BU&S had closed I gave it a few moments then went to Windows button > Programmes > Backup & Sync for Google then clicked the little blue cloud icon. It tried to open the folder which of course it couldn't find. Click the button to find the Google Drive folder you've renamed on your PC and hey presto! Folder renamed and Drive connection re-established :) Hope this work for you too :)

    Hi Brink. I noticed the registry file in this tutorial for adding Google Drive to the Navigation Pane doesn't include in references to Wow6432Node keys for 64-bit systems. Are those keys missing or just not relevant in the context of this tweak? Thanks!

    Hello,

    It's not needed for this.

    Got it. How easy would it be to add Google Drive (or DropBox) to the network devices list in ThisPC in addition to the navigation pane?

    You should be able to reference the same GUID number for Google Drive used by this tutorial for adding it to This PC.

    Something like this?

    ; Add Google Drive to 64-bit This PC

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{3935ea0f-5756-4db1-8078-d2baf2f7b7b2}]
    "DescriptionID"=dword:00000009

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{3935ea0f-5756-4db1-8078-d2baf2f7b7b2}]
    "DescriptionID"=dword:00000009

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{3935ea0f-5756-4db1-8078-d2baf2f7b7b2}]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpa ce\{3935ea0f-5756-4db1-8078-d2baf2f7b7b2}]

    That should do it as long as this tutorial was used to add Google Drive for the GUID reference.
