Great news. I'm glad you got an icon you wanted.

Yes, I couldn't get the icon you currently have. Only the ones that come in the Google Drive.exe

I got it to switch to what's in the attached picture by editing the registry!

    In Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3935ea0f-5756-4db1-8078-d2baf2f7b7b2}\DefaultIcon

    my registry said: C:\Program Files\Google\Drive\googledrivesync.exe,15.
I changed it to: C:\Program Files\Google\Drive\googledrivesync.exe,0 and it worked.

If you guys like that icon. I'll update the tutorial to use it instead now.

EDIT: Now updated for Option Two.

It makes it look more like OneDrive and Dropbox's Icons , so I like it.

I thought it was because my G.Drive is on E:\ not in the Default Location...

There are so many pages to go through to try to find the answer to my problem.
    64-bit Windows 10.
Google Drive path is C:\Program Files\Google\Drive
I am not an administrator, but I know the password.

If I run the bat file (downloaded from the button on page 1) I get asked for the correct path. Entering it with or without quotes doesn't make any difference, it says that is not the correct path.

Tried the reg file, also downloaded from the button on page 1.

I now see Google Drive in the navigation pane, but of course the path is wrong.

Run regedit as administrator to fix path. The info at the beginning of the discussion uses the wrong(old?) CLSID. Had a look inside the reg file to see the correct CLSID {3935ea0f-5756..., but that does not appear in the registry.

I did see a mention of the 64-bit reg file, but see no link to it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello @macnab,

Option Two no longer requires separate .reg files for 32-bit and 64-bit. The current version works for both.
