    hey brink!

I attempted to remove and re-add the folder from the navigation pane but it still hasn't added the icon. Any thoughts?
In that case sign out and sign in to apply after merging the .reg file to add it.

Sorry. Sign out of Windows, then sign back in.

Hmm, are you using the latest version of the Google Backup and Sync program?

In that case, check to see if you have the file at the location below. This is the file that contains the referenced icon.

    C:\Program Files\Google\Drive\googledrivesync.exe

If it's not there, did you install the program at a different location?

I must admit that I'm not sure why it's not using the correct icon for you.

I got it to switch to what's in the attached picture by editing the registry! In Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\{3935ea0f-5756-4db1-8078-d2baf2f7b7b2}\DefaultIcon, my registry said: C:\Program Files\Google\Drive\googledrivesync.exe,15.
I changed it to: C:\Program Files\Google\Drive\googledrivesync.exe,0 and it worked.
