Yeah, this removes Quick Access from the left pane but adds it to my desktop.
Unable to remove from desktop. Cannot put in recycling bin either. Please show method that actually works.
Change HubMode from 1 to 2 and restart after changing the value:
    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "HubMode"=dword:00000002

I used Option Two. It works.
Occasionally, I can do something, (I don't know what), and Quick Access will appear on the Desktop.
Then I just right click the Desktop and choose: Refresh ...to get rid of it.

It only appears on the Desktop so rarely, for me anyway, that I've never actually noted what caused it to appear.

That happened to me today and I don't know what caused it to appear.
I did a desktop refresh and it went away.
So, setting Hubmode to 2 as in my comment #120 doesn't fix the issue.
Will have to retry option two again.

Hi. I registered here after Quick Access decided to randomly disappear from File Browser. I'm on Windows 10 and tried the regedit step, but Quick Access was already enabled. I haven't touched anything since Day 1 on this computer (since March 2021).

I was streaming a multiplayer game and was randomly disconnected. Scans show nothing to be worried about. And the View tab in the Explorer, the only options are to choose where the folder starts when i open it. I just want Quick Access back so i can browse through my folders easier.

Hello, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Just to verify, did you try both options since they are different methods?

Please go ahead and post some screenshots showing what you're seeing in case something may stand out as a cause for an easy solution.
