Hello Patrick, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Your error message indicates that you missed doing steps 4 and 5 for that "ShellFolder" registry key first. You should be able to modify "Attributes" afterwards.

    Hi Brink,

I have a similar situation as Maggy, even after nail-biting situation where once I couldn't open file explorer and managed to fix it back (step 3 in your tutorial and found out that was for 32 bit). Anyway did the registry change for 64 bit as you can see in the image attached. The frustrating part was steps 4 & 5 because it did not match exactly as the tutorial indicated anyway after fiddling I did manage to change the attribute but "Quick Access" still shows up even after rebooting.

    Hello SpaceCrime, :)

For 64-bit, you'll need to do both locations from steps 3 and 10.

To reverse, you would use the add options in the tutorial, but that would be pointless since you're wanting to remove it.

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 10?

If you like, post screenshots showing your registry settings for this to see if anything may be wrong.
