I don't know about you, but for me neither this nor WUSHOWHIDE method to block driver updates have worked, as Windows Update sooner or later will install outdated graphics drivers. In my case, it's always Intel Corporation - Display - 27.20.100.9415, while the latest version is 31.0.101.4091. I always keep the driver package installer because I know WU in its infinite stubbornness will install old drivers after a while, I think it's a lost cause at this point
@ksio89, I don't know if this will help but check out this video where he's talking about what you're going through.

Let us know if it works out for you. Good luck.
PS: His download link for the reg file might be dead so you'll have manually install those keys

My apologies for asking in the wrong place, but can someone point me to a thread, that will tell me how to disable specific driver updates? All I want is to disable AMD/NVIDIA graphic updates, every few days it overrides the drivers I have working.
One or more of these tutorials may be useful:
Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10
Prevent Windows Update from Updating Specific Device Driver
Turn On or Off Device Driver Automatic Installation in Windows 10
Apparently not all driver updates get blocked. Example core device drivers such as storage devices. That said, and getting to the point - for users like this poster (and me)...
If you're a user running a dedicated graphics card, and don't want Microsoft overwriting your GPU divers, Brinks tutorial works like a champ! One of the first things I do when setting up Windows is enable "Do not include drivers with Windows updates".
That done, I don't get any (dedicated) GPU updates. Option One for Pro users like me.
As a check go to Windows Update > Update history > Driver Updates to see what was recently installed. You shouldn't see any recent GPU updates.
Late reply, but it worked, thanks a lot. Though I didn't follow it but instead downloaded the registry key kindly provided by ddelo at Prevent Windows Update from Updating Specific Device Driver. Windows sneaky at is, tried to install outdated graphics drivers the moment I was typing this message, but then the regkey blocked the update and I got an error message.
It's actually amazing how stubborn Windows Update is, as it still tries to download and install device drivers even after running wushowhide.diagcab to hide driver updates from being offered.
