    That reg file doesn't even do anything, after reboot the driver downloaded itself again.

    I said you mostly need to include gpedit rule too. Then next you have to clear your windows 10 update cache, use disk cleaner tool to clean everything. also there is no confirmation you do things being told correctly, you seem to be very outraging. If you dont have Windows 10 Pro it wont work, I said this before on this post. The reg file mostly wont work alone with Home version, you also need the gpedit rule.

    No drivers have been downloaded automatically to my Home version.
    I use this method: Using CMD script and VBScript to control Windows Update

    try adding both of these reg entries in Registry Editor and reboot afterwards to see if driver updates are blocked (or not automatically downloaded & installed):

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
    "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CloudContent]
    "DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures"=dword:00000001

    Is there anything new in 2004? Any removed settings or new ones?

    ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate DWORD
    0 = Enable
    1 = Disable

    Is 0 really disable? I would presume 1, because the key says exclude, and 1 typically stands for yes. This is complicated as hell!

    According to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...configure-wufb, setting it to 1 is the actual disable, but on the Home notebook I am currently installing, even with all the regtweaks from the first post the stupid drives are still being downloaded.

    omg I even get the extra software junk despite also having the downloading of icons and apps setting turned off.

    Hello @Octopuss,

    If you like, you could use option 7 in the tutorial below to use WAU Manager. It will allow you to disable automatic updates so you can select what to download and install (if wanted) instead.
