I'm not big on installing software like this. Must be a different way? I'm not worried about updates just updated drivers.
I can certainly understand not wanting to use 3rd party software if it can be helped.

Since you have the Windows 10 Home edition instead of Pro, you are limited by not being able to use group policies to restrict updates. This includes the one in this tutorial.

    I have Win10 Pro 64bit
I want other updates, just not driver updates.

The reg file did not work, it still updated my video driver.

    Hello Icarus,

I found the only way to truly stop any update is to disable automatic updates so you will be able to hide the updates you do not want installed before selecting to download and install the available updates you want.

Well at least the Group Policy option seems to be working this time for now, not sure why it didn't the first time I tried? The reg file didn't work at all.
Thanks for trying to help Brink :)

Just to verify, did you restart the computer after merging the .reg file?

Yes I did. Tried it a few times. It still kept updating the drivers after.

Interesting that the group policy works, but not the .reg file that includes the same setting.
