Nope, the last thing that happened was a windows update
Do you see any user folder with your files in it?

In addition, check to see if there may be a "C:\Windows.old" folder that may contain your user folder from a previous installation.

I checked for previous versions of the folder and i found it!
    Thank you for the help!

Now about the temporary profile, underneath the empty previous folder of my user profile (C:\Users\ferna) there's a new one called C:\Users\ferna.LAPTOP-9FM579CQ with folders like a new user profile (also without my data). Is my problem fixed and this is my new user file or do will i have the same problem again?

I'm glad you found your original profile folder.

The newer profile folder would be the one created for the temp profile. If you have everything, then there's no need to do anything else. Otherwise, you could correct the path (ex: C:\Users\ferna) for the ProfileImagePath value of the account's SID key without .bak at the end.

As test, leave the .bak SID key for now.

Ok. This round, let's delete the SID without .bak, rename the SID with .bak to remove .bak at the end, then make sure the path is correct for your profile folder.

Hey, so i followed the steps and it's no longer a temporary user and i have all my programs back although they are not installed. The only problem is that all the content on the documents, pictures and video folders are gone! Plus i checked the properties of the C drive and i have much more free space than before. Help!! Thanks

Hello @aviator, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you still have the user profile folder available with its contents for the account, then repeat the tutorial again making sure that the ProfileImagePath value has the correct path for the account's user profile folder.

The tutorial has just been updated, so you may not have done all the needed steps while it was in the process of being updated.

Thanks! so i did it again and now it seems i'm at my session because settings are like last time, programs are still unistalled and all my files are still missing but it's some progress. As for the files, should i try to recover them on some other way?
