    We're almost approaching that "Definition of Insanity" thing (doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result). Corrected the Profileimagepath to C:\Users\No, but a new temp user and path pop back up upon reboot. 
    In that case, it appears that the "No" profile is corrupted.

    You could change the Profileimagepath back to "C:\Users\No.MDSDESKTOP", and copy over any files you want from your "No" folder.

    Ahhh, then can I rename the C:\Users\NO.MDSDESKTOP folder back to C:\Users\No?

    Yep, that would be a positive using the method below, but you would need to either delete or rename the original "No" folder before doing so.

    Good evening,

    I went through the instructions and used step #12 as it was relevant to my situation. I made the changes as instructed, but when I log back in, my problem is not solved. When I try again, I find that in RegEdit it looks as though I made no changes at all. Everything deleted, renamed, etc has reverted back to how it was before.

    Do you have any thoughts on this?

    Thank you!

    Hello meoshimo, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

    Please go ahead and post some screenshots of what your registry settings and in your C:\Users folder looks like to see if anything may stand out.

    In addition, what should the user folder name should be for the affected account?

    Hey, thanks!

    Here are the requested screenshots (hope I uploaded them correctly). The first shows my regedit, the next two show the profileimagepath settings and the State settings as they appear before I edit them. The path my profile should me C:\Users\MTM

    The fourth screenshot shows my system info, and the 5th is my users folder. Thanks!

    @meoshimo,

    If this has just recently happened, you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this happened may be able to fix it for you.

    Thanks for the advice. I restored back four days (right around when this happened), but unfortunately it didn’t help. Luckily I have access to all my profile’s files, so I can just set another profile up.

    Usually, it would be best to create a new account or profile when you're unable to repair a temp profile issue.
