Deleting all SID keys for only your account will cause a new profile folder to be created for your account the next time you sign in to it.

Your user name would be "tja" instead.
The "System32" part is just the folder location the elevated command prompt is opened at.
That's ok. I'm happy to help. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
If your "C:\Users\TJA" folder is still there with your files, then you would want to use step 12 in the tutorial to try and restore this profile folder for your account.
If not, then you could delete both S-1-5-21-....-1001 and S-1-5-21-....-1001.bak SID keys for your account to have a new profile folder created for your account the next time you sign in to it.
I deleted both and I am logged in as TJA! Thanks so much for that! Only thing I can't figure out is my Quickbooks program isn't working. Is this expected or do you know a trick to get that back?
You're most welcome. :)
You might see if reinstalling Quickbooks to act as a repair install for it may help.
Ok I will try that - I'm just concerned because the company file is missing. In any event, you are a genius and quite an asset to this forum!
Do you have any backups created that included that location you may be able to restore from?
I have it backed up on a flash drive but about a month or two ago, so I'd lose a lot of work. I'm currently searching my computer hoping I can find it though it's not looking promising so far.
