    @pepanee,

    I did some testing with a 5 second ScreenSaverGracePeriod, and it still worked for me.

    I tested using the screen saver set with a "1" minute wait time, and of course On resume, display logon screen checked.
    Hi Shawn! Thanks for the reply.
    So I finally had a chance to restart my computer.

    Before I did that, I went ahead and did the same thing you did. I set my screen saver to activate after a 1 minute of idle time, (and yes, I double checked that the "On resume, display logon screen" option is checked). Then I restarted the computer. After the computer restarted, I did a few things unrelated things or whatnot for like half a minute, then once I was done, I started the countdown to a minute! (I have seconds enabled in my TaskBar clock). I looked at the seconds (it was at :17), and the countdown began! Crossed my fingers... and waited. I waited and waited, and then waited some more. Then the next minute came. I crossed my fingers!
    Once we reached :17 in the next minute, the screen turned black... and stayed black! YES!!! It seems to have worked! I guess I had to "reset" what it says for the screen saver time! Now I'm gonna put it back to 15 minutes of idle time, until the "screen saver" activates! Let's hope it works! If I don't message back on this Thread (asking for other assistance, after more things I can try out), then that means it worked!!

    Thanks for the reply Shawn! If I don't message back here, then I'll see you in another Thread! Thanks so much.

    (This following info is for future reference, for me, if this happens again):
    Refer to Shawn's post right above this post, by changing the screen saver time, then reverting back to 15 minutes

    I analyzed the situation, from memory. I think my thought process is pretty much on the right track.

    So here's the thing: I guess that I subconsciously "believed" that if I changed the "ScreenSaverGracePeriod" value, that this would reset some bug that happened somewhere sometime (...because of how many other times I've experienced other things, and know that this certain "idea" is usually a fix for things). Then some day, I was in the room with the computer, and just so happened to be near the computer when it was almost 15 minutes until the "screen saver" activated. I saw the computer monitor go black in the corner of my eye, looked up at the monitor, then saw the Lock Screen activate immediately. I thought to myself that my method apparently didn't work

    Yet what you suggested about changing the screen saver time value, was actually the correct value that I needed to change in order to reset that specific bug.

    "I was on the right track."

    I still haven't sat at the computer, waiting for the 15 minutes until the "Screen Saver" / Lock Screen activates, yet I am pretty certain that once the computer sits there idle for 15 minutes, the monitor will go blank... for 10 seconds ... then the Lock Screen will show.

    If, over time, I notice that this is not the case, then I will post back.

    Thank you so much Shawn for your assistance. I really appreciate it.
