Sorry, I do not fully understand you. What do you mean? :)

In my previous post I've just suggested you to update this tutorial due to some newly added Apps. Do you happen to know if the Store Purchase App should be kept, like we should keep Store?
Sorry, I misunderstood what you posted then, and thought that using a command in the tutorial caused you an issue.

It would be recommended to keep the Store Purchase app, and should not be removed with the commands that uninstall all apps except "Store".

I'll go through the list for new apps now, and get any that are safe to uninstall added to the tutorial. :)

    Thank you, Brink! :)

PS: IF it is not a hassle for you, please visit that thread of mine, link given in my previous post, and tell me what causes the error code 0x800706D9, which is not allowing the (remaining) Apps to update.

Keep up the good work! :)

Ok Joanne. I think I got them all that's listed in Start -> All Apps. Please let me know if I missed any you need. :)

I think you missed the App Installer and also I believe you should mention the Store Purchase App as a non-recommended uninstallation.

I don't have "App Installer" listed in All Apps.

I'll add a warning for "Store Purchase App" now though.

The "App Installer" is shown in CCleaner Pro, for me. It also gets updated through the Store.

Found its app package listed as "DesktopAppInstaller", but I wouldn't recommend to uninstall it either since it's not listed in All apps.

Okay, I will keep it then.

Brink, please say something about that error code the Store gives, and the Apps cannot get updated! They fail to update.

    Thank you :)

    I tried that, didn't work.
    Nothing worked.
Wasted so much time on this.

Now I'm just waiting to see if August 2nd update installs all the apps back for all the users.
    ;- )=
Some months ago I spent time uninstalling (or trying to in some cases) all unwanted apps from 2 laptops and a tablet.

Just installed the AU and most of them are back again, so now I get to do it all again. What fun, especially on the tablet which is not the easiest machine to use Powershell commands on.

How foolish of me to hope MS would actually respect my choices regarding the apps I actually want to use in the AU.

At least I didn't get the FB app back again though, so not all bad .

Hi...once again thanks Brink for the Powershell commands it saved me a lot of time searching for the 'Groove tube' which was also 'Zunemusic'
I believe it was responsible for my desktop app 'Re-arrangement' after looking in event viewer @ that time period... but I could be wrong.....we will see next time.....but I hope it does not happen again hee hee.
    thanks *john
