    Hi @Brink,

I would like to inform you that removing "Get Help" does not work, at least on my system:

Also, do you happen to know what is "Mixed Reality Portal", if I can remove it and how?

    Thank you.

    Thank you Joanne. :)

    "Get Help" removed from tutorial.

"Mixes Reality Portal" package ID is "HolographicFirstRun", but it's another one of those apps that appear to can't be uninstalled since it's part of Windows.

    Hi Brink,

Our environment have more than 1000 Windows 10 PCs with domain joined, do u have any solution/ automated way to remove those Windows 10 built-in app? Because those PCs don't have admin right then we cannot remove it via GPO.

    Thanks

"Pending" Apps after a Windows 10 Clean Install

    Hi Brink,

I performed a Clean Install of Windows 10
    Uninstall Apps in Windows 10-yoga-2_25.04.17_01.png

and effectively removed a relevant number of apps using the codes as per Option Three (by the way the "-online" instruction for Microsoft Wallet is indicated as if it were for Microsoft Wi-Fi). As a result I was happily left without the bunch of apps I am not interested in, but still with a few "Pending" apps in the Start Menu, i.e. with a series of icons indicating that "A great app is on its way!" without specifying which is such a great app... and exactly on which way, for what it matters.

Then I connected the PC to the network (I had skipped it during installation) and I went through the process of activation and full Windows Update which ended with a restart. At this point I got very disappointed in realizing that the system had downloaded and installed a few apps and specifically those I do not want/need at all, mostly games and socials.

Kindly note that I tried to perform a Windows Store reset after a new Clean Install of Windows 10 (Creators Update) once again before connecting to the net, but the result was exactly the same.

    Question
Is there any way to avoid the Pending apps being downloaded and installed, i.e. is there any way of getting rid of them?

    Thank you very much

PD Do you think I should start a new thread for this?

    Hello @Lamberto, :)

It looks like it was suggested apps that got downloaded and installed. You can use the tutorial below to prevent future suggested apps from being automatically installed, but you'll have to uninstall any that have already been installed.

I too am in this boat, searching for an answer. I've tried using PDQ to deploy it to a test workstation, only to get the Windows cannot remove microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_17.7906.42257.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe because the current user does not have that package installed, error.
