Turn On or Off Shortcut Name Extension in Windows 10

    Glad it worked for you. I've had to change that value to 00 00 00 00 many times. It seems that certain updates change it back...at least that's been my experience. I'm at 19043.1165.

    I usually wait on the CUs & other updates...just in case Microsoft decides there's a problem with the update that they want to fix.

    Sorry for the late reply. I had to do some testing with this.

    No worries Shawn and thanks for the reply. I also saw 1st octet 1C when I didn't an internet search yesterday.

    Just checked a 19043.1288 PC after seeing your reply and no link value in there either. Oh, well
