    Hi,
I've added the Quick Launch tollbar and works like a charm.
However, this is already 3 times in 15 days I lost the Quick Launch Toolbar, and I have the recreate it.
    I'll appreciate any help

    Hello coukou, :)

Did you notice if this happened after any particular action? For example, Windows Update.

For now, you could backup your toolbars to make it easy to restore as needed until you find the culprit.

    Hello
It's now 1 month that I added the quick launch toolbar and works just fine (when it not disappear).

In fact, I have to recreate it every 2/3 days because it disappears without any particular reason.
In addition, I used the Backup and Restore Taskbar Toolbars in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials, unfortunately it does not work for me.

    Any idea?
    Regards

    Hello coukou,

Odd. As a test, add a new folder as a custom toolbar on your taskbar, and copy over your shortcuts into this new folder. Afterwards, see if it does the same with this new folder.

Interesting, I have used Quick Launch for years, without any problems other than an occasional re-ordering of the icons. That was mainly on Surface Pro 2 (I've since upgraded to a Pro 4.)
On firing up my desktop, running Insider 17692, this morning, Quick Launch was MIA. A reboot didn't fix it. Booted Surface Pro 4, (running 1803,build 17134.112.) No Quick Launch there either.
The info was still in \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch so I now have a 'dis-ordered' Quick Launch on both machines. OK, I'll sort them and backup!
I wonder if this happened because I now have a W10 tablet as well as the other machines, and I hadn't got around to adding a Quick Launch toolbar to that. All 3 devices are linked to the same MS account. The tablet is a NuVision 8" (it now has a Q L toolbar!) I'm pleased with it, so far, I've only had it a few days.
I guess it is fairly obvious that the Q L toolbars are not, and have never been, identical. Desktop has more apps than SP4, and the new tablet less still.

I've kept IE11 on my computer for the purpose of having this tool bar, but is there a way to do it without IE, such as with MS Edge?

    Hello highstream,

This is just the folder path the Quick Launch folder is located at. You don't need IE11 for it.
