If you like, you could be able use METHOD ONE in the tutorial below to automatically create a restore point at startup. With that many restore points being created that often, be sure to also increase the max storage amount for restore points to be able to have more available.

Is it possible to manage not only the disk space but also the location (eg disk D: ) where will the restore points be saved?

I'm afraid restore points are always saved on the drive they were created for. I'm not aware of a way to change that.
quick question. I see there are 4 restore points type, but when you create a restore point from the GUI it states the type is manual. To wich type does that coincide, if any?

Restore points are automatically generated when you install a new app, driver, or Windows update. If an app, command, or schedule calls to create a restore point in Windows 10, system restore will only create the restore point if no other restore point has already been created within the past 24 hours (1440 minutes) by default.
Brink, any ideea wich of the 4 restore points type is closer to the the one you create manually from the UI? That one is stated as "manual".

That's clear, but don't the different types have some sorts of meaning? It's hard to believe it's purely a description. IMHO the one created from the UI should be the most likely to work (since System Restore has long history of not working when you really need it) and that's why I was asking wich of the other types would be closer to the manual one from the UI.
The type of restore point assigned would depend on what created the restore point.
Here's an example of the different types for the restore points on my system to see what created them. The description helps to ID what the type is if not manual.
