    I have the same problem. This has worked for years, where I need to reinstall the registry update to increase JumpListItems_Maximum" after every major biannual Windows update. But it stopped around the 1903 update (or maybe a recent Office 365 update). It actually does still show 30 items for Explorer, so the problem may be limited to Office applications. Excel only shows the default number of items. Unfortunately, Excel is the Jump List I care most about.

    Does anyone know if Office now has it's own "Jump List Items" registry entry?

    Found another REG setting.
    Try adding the 2nd 2 items from the REG file below as well as the "JumpListItems_Maximum".
    This worked for all my other Office apps whereas without them, excel/word was limited to about 6-9.
    Of course you can increase the DWord from 16 to whatever you require, and you will need to reboot.

    textfile: Jumplist_Settings.reg
    ---
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
    "JumpListItems_Maximum"=dword:00000016
    "Start_JumpListItems"=dword:00000016
    "EnableXamlJumpView"=dword:00000001
    ---

    That worked for me, thanks! BTW, in my testing, I needed dwords for both "JumpListItems_Maximum" and "Start_JumpListItems" in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]. But I did not need to create an entry for "EnableXamlJumpView". I am running Windows 10 Pro, ver 1909 OS Build 18363.592

    Increase my Jump List, problems with EDGE Jump list

    Problems with Edge and Jump List: I recently increased the number of items I can add to my jump list (8 items) which I like using for Excel. Now, I have a jump list for Edge. The problem I am having is that Edge is adding items to the jump list. I don't want this. Is there a way to stop Edge from automatically adding items to the jump list?
    Thank You

    Hello mate,

    I'm afraid this applies to all jump lists.
