    Hi guys!

I have used this for Windows 7 and my LTSB version of windows 10. I am on the pro edition and for some reason whenever I click the shortcut I have a UAC popup each time asking me if I want to allow this app to make changes to this device for Windows Based Script Host.

Before this I was getting an
Failed To Enumerate Objects In The Container

error and I had to make the System Volume Information set as the owner. I followed this tutorial if you had that error:

Any ideas as to what I can do to stop this popup?

What does "Show more details say"? It is apparent that you are running a script somewhere that is causing the popup. Have you tried clicking "Yes"? If you are installing or upgrading Windows, then I believe that the Windows Scripting Tool is what Microsoft uses to control the install.

The UAC prompt is normal since the .vbs file requires "Run as administrator" to run it. The shortcut runs the .vbs file.

Got it, oddly I have found that I get the same popup with programs like origin or uplay for games. Is there a reason windows 10 has this but not win7?

Windows 7 has UAC as well.

By default, anything that requires elevation (Run as administrator) should give your a UAC prompt for you to approve first. This is a good security feature to help let you know when anything wants to run elevated since it would have full access to the whole PC.

You might check your UAC settings to see if they are still set to default settings.

"Create Instant System Restore Point" with Message no longer works.

    Insider Preview 19028

I have been using your "Create Instant System Restore Point" with Success Message Shortcut for some time now and it's been great, thanks Shawn.

BUT since my Windows has updated to 19028 it no longer works. I keep getting this error:-

I've have uninstalled it and all of the files then reinstalled it again several times but I still keep getting this error. And I have no idea exactly what "service" might have been "disabled".

Any assistance is greatly appreciated Shawn.

    Hello @thewizardoz,

That error message indicates you may have system protection turned off for your Windows C: drive. Turning it on should allow the shortcut to work afterwards.

Thanks Shawn. As always you are correct.

I did have a huge problem enabling the greyed out "Turn on system protection" though.

As my D drive was at the top of the list of drives I tried it first - no go.
So I tried C drive and enabled protection on that drive first then the greyed out "Turn on system protection" for my D drive turned black again so I enable protection on that drive too.

    Thanks again mate.
