    How to Reset Action Center Quick Actions to Default in Windows 10

    The Action Center in Windows 10 has personalized quick actions at the bottom, which get you to your most-used settings and apps instantly. For example, to be able to easily toggle on/off or open items such as Airplane mode, All settings, Connect, Display, Location, Note, Quiet hours, Tablet Mode, VPN, and Wi-Fi.

    Users can add and remove quick actions in Settings to show at the bottom of their Action Center.

    This tutorial will show you how to quickly reset quick actions in Action Center back to default for your account in Windows 10.

    The downloadable .bat file in this tutorial will delete the registry key below and restart the explorer process to reset quick actions back to default for the current account you are signed in to.

    HKCU\Control Panel\Quick Actions

    Code:

    4 Double click/tap on the .bat file to run it.

    5 You will now notice a command prompt quickly open and close, and your desktop quickly flash as the explorer process is restarted to apply.

    Hello Barry, and welcome to Ten Forums.

    As a test, restart the computer to see if the Action Center returns.

    Just for reference, which Windows 10 build do you currently have installed?

    @GRANDPAbarry,

    Just to verify, did you restart the computer to see if Action Center returned afterwards?

    There must be some other issue at play here since the method in this tutorial only clears the quick actions settings to reset them. The deleted registry values automatically get recreated with default settings.

    Check using the tutorial below to see if your Action Center may have been disabled somehow, and enable if so,

    Unfortunately, the Tablet Mode quick action button will not be available in the Action Center for a desktop computer.

    You can still toggle Table Mode on/off using another available option below though.
