How to Show Quick Access Toolbar Above or Below Ribbon in Windows 10 File Explorer

The Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is a small, customizable toolbar that exposes a set of Commands that are specified by the application or selected by the user.
By default, the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is located in the title bar (above ribbon) of the File Explorer window but can be configured to display below the Ribbon.
This tutorial will show you how to set the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) to show above or below the Ribbon in File Explorer for your account in Windows 10.
CONTENTS:
- Option One: To Show Quick Access Toolbar Above Ribbon in File Explorer
- Option Two: To Show Quick Access Toolbar Below Ribbon in File Explorer
EXAMPLE: Quick Access Toolbar in File Explorer
NOTE: This is the default setting.
1. While in File Explorer, do step 2 or step 3 below for how you would like to show QAT above the Ribbon.
2. Click/tap on the Customize Quick Access Toolbar menu arrow, and click/tap on Show above the Ribbon. (see screenshot below)
OR
3. Right click or press and hold anywhere on an empty area of the QAT bar, and click/tap on Show Quick Access Toolbar above the Ribbon. (see screenshot below)
